We're Live!

Magicsock_profile_sm Welcome to the new "The Magic Sock" podcast website. If you're new listening to The Magic Sock, welcome! What's the fuss all about? In The Magic Sock podcast, I talk about all things related to the Magic: The Gathering card game. I've been playing Magic: The Gathering for over 14 years (I started when Unlimited was out) and I've been doing this podcast for over two years. I've also written a good many articles over the last few years. I've had articles published in Beckett Magic The Gathering magazine (which sadly ceased publication in 2007) and have had two of my decks published in articles in Inquest Gamer (which also sadly ceased publication in 2007). One of my favorite published articles appeared last year on the official Magic: The Gathering website.

So if you're looking for a cool podcast to listen to, take a moment to subscribe and you'll be able to enjoy all the episodes here. If you're new to the world of podcasting, here is a video to teach you how to subscribe. Welcome aboard and, remember: Keep playing Magic!

iTunes Subscription Feed Fixed

Originally posted 7/26/06

Just a quick note to say that I've finally made time to fix the iTunes subscription feed. iTunes recently changed its categories and format on how it reads .xml files. After validating my feed through www.feedvalidator.org let's just say that I was shocked with how many errors I had.  I still have a few but moving forward the main ones are fixed.

Announcement: Working with Londes.com

Note: The Magic Sock is no longer working with Londes.com as we simply tried a few experiments. Seems that listeners weren't fond of the format with someone else hosting with me.

I am happy to announce that The Magic Sock, episode 14, is now appearing on the Londes.com Magic: The Gathering website. I am in continued talks with one of the editors in planning a new direction for the show. It is my hope that I can continue more casual episodes but that I could also move forward and create shows which would have a more professional feel to them. Specifically, I'd like to focus on expert level content for Magic players. This is something which is going to take some time to prepare and to work through all the technical hoops but I am hoping to have another person on the show from time to time and to add more enchancements. I expect that the show will continue onward in both video and audio format, but there's a possibility that more audio shows might be produced. Again, I've a good amount of planning and work to do, but I am happy to announce that The Magic Sock is now working with Londes.com. Thank you for your support and please keep in touch with the show. As always, if you have feedback, please feel free to e-mail me.
